Casa de Partida

a play for grown up kids

If we look at the world around us, we quickly understand that we don't all start from the same starting point with fair and equal conditions for everyone. We only need to look at our 'next door neighbor' to realize that the conditions in which each one of us finds ourselves are very specific.

And in this way, we realize that living in our world is a very dirty game, in which differences and inequalities are clear.

If we analyze the concept of equality through an intersectional feminist lens, we recognize that inequalities are rooted in realities that we tend to see as inevitable – such as capitalism, patriarchy, racism, among others. However, none of this is taken for granted, as all these rules and structures were created by ourselves. And that way, it's up to us to change the rules of the game.

In “CASA DE PARTIDA – a play for children who have grown up”, we intend to make use of the innate capacity that children have for adaptation and acceptance that many adults have let rust, and to take the first steps towards a very urgent question:

Let's change the world?
